Sunrise Elementary is a diverse K–5 Title I school serving students in the Marion Oaks community. Our student population represents a wide range of cultures, languages, learning styles, and strengths. Through collaborative support from classroom teachers, school counselors, ESOL services, Exceptional Student Education staff, intervention teams, and family partnerships, Sunrise is committed to meeting the academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and language needs of every learner.
Sunrise provides inclusive learning opportunities and targeted supports designed to help students access grade-level instruction, build confidence, and grow academically and socially. Our work is guided by student data, strong relationships, and a shared commitment to ensuring that every child is known, supported, and prepared for continued success.
TV Broadcast Studio
Our studio televises live announcements each morning. Student recognition is featured. Students operate the entire show with supervision from the media specialist. The crew consists of anchors, camera, sound and video mixer technicians, announcers, and assistants.
School improvement funds are used to provide remedial programs for non-proficient reading students after school. Tutorial programs, through Title I, are offered for non-proficient students as a way to assist them to meet state standards.
